Redskins beat reporter Grant Paulsen joined “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan and talked about what he saw from the Giants during their divisional match-ups against the Redskins this year compared to their Super Bowl XLVI victory.
Paulsen said that the Giants team that won the Super Bowl was a completely different one the Redskins beat twice, including a Week 15 win in East Rutherford and was the kick in the butt needed to propel them to the franchise’s fourth title.
“This was just not the team I saw in East Rutherford in week 15 that was lifeless and getting pushed around by a Redskins team that was inferior,” Paulsen said. “A couple of players on that team I’ve had on the show have said, ‘That was our alarm clock. They woke us up,'” he added.
