WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — The raid on the Occupy DC site at McPherson Square is causing minor disruptions for some Metro travelers.

Metro says the Vermont Avenue side of its McPherson Square station is closed until further notice because of police activity.

Authorities say 11 people have been arrested in Washington’s McPherson Square since Park Police began clearing away tents Saturday from one of the nation’s last remaining Occupy sites.

Dozens of U.S. Park Police officers in riot gear and on horseback converged before dawn Saturday on the site, clearing away tents they said were banned under park rules.
