Former Redskins linebacker Antonio Pierce joined “The Sports Junkies” 106.7 The Fan on radio row in Indianapolis, IN and told the behind the scenes story of how he ended up a New York Giant after playing in Washington, D.C.
Pierce claimed that he loved the area and wanted to stay a Redskin but his offer was rejected and “In so many words, Go milk another cow.”
“Honestly I thought I’d be Redskins….As a rookie, I played. I started. Every year I was there we fired either a defensive coordinator or head coach…I thought we had a good nucleus of young guys.”
Pierce was offered $2.8 million for five years after the Skins signed Michael Barrow, claiming Snyder tried to lock him up for as little as possible for as long as possible.
