Rocky McIntosh Clarifies Missing Curfew, Future And College Recruiting

Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh joined “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan and discussed his health and future with the team.

First, McIntosh clarified the rumor that he tried to fake out his coaches by putting pillows under the covers while he missed curfew. McIntosh admitted he was 20 minutes late after going out, but the story was just a rumor.

As far as his future with the team, the linebacker said it wouldn’t be because of his knee, stating it’s healthy and even plays basketball daily.

However, when asked about former teammate’s Carlos Rogers’ suggestion that players can’t wait to leave D.C., McIntosh really didn’t really deny its truth.

“It’s just been frustrating. You know, I’ve been kind of locked up into this team the last few years because I wasn’t able to hit free agency and that’s a thing I would’ve liked to experience a long time ago,” he said.

Pssst, Rocky: You were a free agent last year. You signed a new contract with the Redskins. You underperformed. Just like last year, this year you will have the chance to sign wherever you like (if they will take you). My guess is that you’re frustration this offseason will be due to the realization that nobody else wants you that badly. Sorry.
