WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A car crashed into a building near McPherson Square injuring three people, including a woman and child, Wednesday afternoon.
All three were taken to the hospital. The injuries to one of the victims are described as life-threatening.
Police say the man driving the car had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at 14th and H. St. NW.
Less than an hour later and two blocks away, a DC Police officer was also struck by a car.
