ALEXANDRIA, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — A Virginia woman has pleaded guilty to trying to hire someone to kill a woman she described as her boyfriend’s mistress.
Forty-one-year-old Ann Jenene Cinnamon of Sterling entered the guilty plea Wednesday in federal court in Alexandria.
She admitted paying a $100 down payment in October to a man she met on an online social dating website who contacted the FBI when Cinnamon first suggested the plot. She told the man she’d pay another $400 after the woman was killed.
The woman into custody last October after meeting with the would-be-killer turned informant in a Great Falls shopping center. That meeting was monitored by authorities.
Cinnamon faces up to 10 years in prison when she is sentenced in May.
