WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Loudoun County Sheriff’s officials charged Jose Rivera-Laboy in connection with the kidnapping of a 16-year-old Sterling, Va. girl in December.
Authorities allege Rivera-Laboy impersonated a police officer, brandished a firearm that was tucked into his waist and held the teenager against her will.
It was later revealed the 21-year-old was the boyfriend of a teenage girl who was involved in a previous altercation with the victim.
Rivera-Laboy also indicated he was a police officer to the victim’s mother.
Authorities have charged him with kidnapping, two counts of impersonating a police officer and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Rivera-Laboy was taken into custody at his Sterling home and is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Detention Center.
