WASHINGTON, DC (CBS-WNEW) Approximately 30 homes in Northeast were impacted by a water main break on Monday.

An eight-inch main ruptured in the 4100 block of 18th Street, located between Shepherd Street and Taylor Street, at 11:37 Monday morning.

Crews responded to the break by 1 p.m. and the repairs were completed at 3:12 according to the DC Water and Sewer Authority.

The cause of the break was not immediately made available.
