Wizards beat reporter and the journalist behind breaking the news about Rashard Lewis refusing to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves Frank Hanrahan sat in studio with “The Sports Junkies” to explain just how much turmoil the 0-8 Wiz are in.

Hanrahan first reported the story after asking a team source following a 20 point loss to Minnesota if anything was different about the team because they had just come off a home loss to the New York Knicks where they played inspired basketball.  That’s when Hanrahan was first told about the spat between assistant Sam Cassell and Lewis.

The reason for the disagreement has not been given but Hanrahan has his theories.

“I would assume, but this is me just assuming, his role or maybe he wasn’t starting, I don’t know,” he said.

What’s even more astounding is that the team’s captain, Andray Blatche was saying if he didn’t get the ball more, he would “pull a Lewis,”  Hanrahan added.
