John Feinstein joined “The Sports Junkies” and talked about which quarterback the Redskins should target in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft.
Every expert was high on Stanford QB Andrew Luck, however after Baylor’s Alamo Bowl shootout, Feinstein is all in on the Heisman Trophy winner.
Another reason Feinstein wants the Skins to target Robert Griffin III is because of the outrageous trade package the front office would have to put together to acquire Luck.
“You’re not going to get Luck,” Feinstein said. ”The price for Luck, even if the team with the number one pick is willing to trade him, is going to be just ridiculously high. People are saying three, four first-rounders. You can’t mortgage your entire future around one player, especially in a position where nobody is a lock,” he elaborated.
Feinstein also added that RG3′s off the field demeanor separates himself from any other prospects and has the quality of character you can build a franchise around.
