The Caps (17-14-1, 35 points) held practice today as they prepare to hit the road for the New Jersey Devils (18-14-1, 37 points) tomorrow night.  Today is the last day the Caps will practice until next Tuesday due to the NHL CBA not allowing teams to play, travel or practice on December 24th and December 25th.  The Caps head to play the Buffalo Sabres on Monday and due to the CBA will travel the morning of the game.

The forward lines at practice today were:  Johansson-Backstrom-Semin, Ovechkin-Laich-Brouwer, Chimera-Halpern-Ward, Hendricks-Perreault-Knuble-Beagle.  Ovechkin was wearing second line gray colors today for the first time this season.

All seven healthy defenseman were on the ice this morning for the Caps, Mike Green skated once again 30 minutes before practice and lasted until about ten minutes into practice before he came off.  Green has missed 18 games in a row and 24 of his last 25 games.  The Caps are 8-0-0 with him in the line up this season.

Capitals Head Coach Dale Hunter said Michal Neuvirth (5-6-1, 3.09 GAA, .893 Save pct.) will make his fourth straight start tomorrow.
