Washington Redskins Tight End Chris Cooley joined The LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes on site at Hard Times Cafe for this week’s installment of The Cooley Zone.
After the Redskins 23 – 10 victory over the New York Giants, Cooley discussed the progression of Kyle Shanahan’s offense, what kind of quarterback the Redskins should target in the off-season and which of his teammates are Pro Bowl worthy.
When asked if the Redskins winning games late in the year will hurt them by not allowing the team to draft a quarter back they covet, such as Baylor University’s Robert Griffin III, Cooley responded by saying that the NFL draft is far from a sure thing.
“You don’t know how he (Griffin III) would fit in with this team,” Cooley said, “It could come back to say you should have did this and he is a great player now so you’re fired. But it could be the same on the other way. You could get caught up in the hype, draft a guy like him and he doesn’t play well then you get fired the same way.”
