The Wizards will kick off training camp this Friday at Verizon Center with plenty of questions surrounding the team as they head into the lockout shortened 2011-12 NBA season.
The Wizards were 23-59 last season. They can only get better this year, right?
Here are some of the main questions heading in to the upcoming NBA season for the Wiz.
Can point guard John Wall continue to develop as the face of the franchise and improve on his 16 points and 8 assists last season?
Will JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche and Nick Young (if re-signed) grow up and become true professionals?
Can guard Jordan Crawford be the microwave off the bench the Wizards need? Crawford averaged 19 points a game as a starter late last season.
Is Jan Vesely a bust in waiting? Or will the Czech Republic high flying swing man show he was drafted 6th overall to run the break with John Wall?
Is fellow rookie Chris Singleton going to be the defensive stopper the Wizards are in much need of?
Is Flip Saunders the right coach for this rebuild project. Better yet, is President Ernie Grunfeld equipped to head up the project?
So many questions and so little time for the Wizards to get ready for the opener which will likely be the day after Christmas.
One more thing. How good will those new uniforms look?
