“The Sports Junkies” recapped Sunday’s 19-11 home loss against the San Fransisco 49ers and after their fourth consecutive loss, the Junks demanded answers as to why head coach Mike Shanahan’s system is failing.
They concluded the biggest downfall from Shanahan’s regime was over-evaluating their personnel at the most important position on the field: Quarterback.
The lack of personnel goes hand-in-hand with Shanahan’s hubris with his offensive scheme.
“[Mike Shanahan] thought he had a system that was so special, that he could take middling guys and plug them in and they would work because his system is so great. And that is a fatal flaw. Whatever happened to taking and building around the talent you have instead of force feeding everybody into your goofy system,” EB said during one of his rants.
