Maryland Football released their new depth chart for the Boston College game this Saturday at 3:00 pm.  A few updates from last week.  I’ll just highlight the changes from last week, or roster spots where and injury occurred.

Quarterback – Randy Edsall has listed Sophomore’s C.J. Brown and Danny O’Brien as co-starters again this week.  The injury to Brown and the return of O’Brien will make this a game time decision.

Left Tackle – Starting LT Max Garcia was injured in the game against Florida State, but is still listed atop the depth chart.  We’ll have to see what his status is when the injury report comes out later in the week.

Wide Receiver – Still no sign of leading receiver Kevin Dorsey on the two-deep depth chart.  He suffered an undisclosed injury against Clemson two weeks ago.

Defensive Tackle – A.J. Francis has reclaimed at least a co-starting position along with Maurice Hampton.  Francis finished with 4 tackles (1 for loss) and a sack against Florida State, while Hampton had just two tackles.

Star Linebacker – Edsall announced yesterday (in the middle of the Redskins game, so I’m sure some of you missed it) that Kenny Tate will miss the remainder of the season and need 6-9 months of rehab for an undisclosed (notice a pattern?) leg injury.  Tate will apply for a medical redshirt.  Replacing Tate will be Redshirt Freshman Mario Rowson, who has filled in for him up until now quite admirably.  Rowson’s backup will be fellow Redshirt Freshman Desmond Kearse.

Mike Linebacker – Starter Demetrius Hartsfield is still not listed on the two-deep depth chart.  Redshirt Freshman Lorne Goree is still listed as the starter with true freshman Cole Farrand as his backup.

The injury report will be out later this week.  Follow Brendan Darr on twitter for more updates: @BrendanDarr1067
