Here we are another Friday and here to get you ready for Saturday.  Last week was heavy on blowouts and light on close games.

Game of the Week:

#8 Clemson 56, Maryland 45

Clemson needed a big fourth quarter comeback against a 2-4 Maryland team that went in to match-up with their backup quarterback starting.  Maryland QB C.J. Brown did his best to lead the Terps against the Tigers but Clemson RB Andre Ellington and WR Sammy Watkins closed the game out for Clemson.  Sammy Watkins set the All-time Clemson record for all-purpose yardage in a game.

Honorable Mention: #17 Kansas State 41, Texas Tech 34

Offensive Player of the Week:

RB Trent Richardson, Alabama – Richardson ran wild against Ole Miss rushing for 183 yards on 17 carries and 4 touchdowns.  The highlight was a 76-yard rushing touchdown where he, well, it’s just better to see it.

Honorable Mentions: QB Ryan Tannehill, Texas A&M; QB Kellen Moore, Boise State; QB Robert Griffin III, Baylor; WR Ryan Swope, Texas A&M; WR Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma; WR Sammy Watkins, Clemson.

Defensive Player of the Week:

LB Corey Lemonier, Auburn – Lemonier didn’t rack up tackles, but he made the most of when he was around the ball.  Lemonier finished with six tackles (3 for loss) and had two sacks and four hits on the quarterback.

Honorable Mentions: S D.J. Swearinger, South Carolina, LB Khaseem Greene, Rutgers; DL John Simon, Ohio State; LB Dion Bailey, USC.

If I had a Heisman Vote:

1) QB Kellen Moore, Boise State

2) QB Russell Wilson, Wisconsin

3) QB Robert Griffin III, Baylor

4) RB Trent Richardson, Alabama

5) QB Andrew Luck, Stanford
