Washington Redskins’ tight end Chris Cooley joined the LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes for this weeks’ edition of the Cooley Zone.
In a game filled with injuries and disappointment, the Redskins’ lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 20-13. What makes the loss even tougher to swallow are the injuries to starters like Trent Williams, Kory Lichtensteiger and Chris Cooley, who will miss an indefinite amount of time with a broken finger.
On the Cooley Zone, Chris expressed a deep desire to return and produce for the team this season.
“My biggest fear is to not be part of a team that makes a run. If this team’s going to make a run in the playoffs or this team’s going to be in the Super Bowl I couldn’t imagine not being on the field, I can’t imagine not running through the tunnel with that team,” said Cooley.
In reference to his struggles with recovering from knee surgery and now this broken finger, Cooley urges fans to have patience with him.
“The capacity I’ve been this year isn’t what I’ve always been but still to have an impact and play is what I want.If I missed that I’d hate it, I could never live it down.”
