DeAngelo Hall showed up on the Redskins’ injury report on Friday for the first time all week. He was listed as questionable with some type of knee ailment.
Hours before the injury report was released, Mike Shanahan addressed the media during his daily press conference. Shanahan wasn’t asked about Hall’s injury because nobody knew anything about it at the time. Hall hadn’t been listed as having missed any practice time all week, and the media aren’t allowed to watch any of the team drills during practices.
When asked about players on the injury report, Shanahan didn’t provide any information on Hall’s injury.
With the Philadelphia Eagles coming to town, having a healthy Hall roaming in the secondary will be important for the Redskins. The Eagles rank third in the NFL in total offense and possess a pair of star receivers in DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Jackson finished second in the NFL in yards-per-catch last season and Maclin is currently second in the NFL in receptions.
In addition to Hall, the Redskins’ injury report listed tight end Chris Cooley (knee), wide receiver Anthony Armstrong (hamstring), and running back Tim Hightower (shoulder) as questionable.
