Redskins tight end Chris Cooley joined “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan and previewed the week 6 match-up against the Eagles and also updated everyone on his status and what “being limited in practice” really means.
Cooley had his knee drained this week but reiterated that it has become a routine for him and is only a “maintenance” issue during the season.
“I just maintain it. That’s what we’re calling it. I’m on a daily maintenance program. There’s no real set backs,” he said. He also said there’s no pain involved with the draining.
Cooley’s reps in practice this week leading up to the game against the Eagles were limited because of the procedure. He elaborated on what that really means.
“It means you didn’t do every single play in the entire practice.” he said. “I’ve never run every single play of an entire practice,” Cooley added, basically saying he’s been “limited” in every practice he’s participated in.
