Former Pro Bowl cornerback Aeneas Williams joined the LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes to talk about how he thinks the NFL is changing the nature of football by enforcing fines on hits the league deems excessive.

Williams, who was an eight time Pro Bowler and a four time All Pro with the Arizona Cardinals and the St.Louis Rams, said he believes the NFL is contradicting itself with some of the rulings it has made.

“I am all for getting rid of those hits where guys are using the crowns of their helmets and putting their necks and spines in jeopardy … but what I’m also seeing is some calls where guys are legitimately using their shoulders and tackling properly,” said Williams. “We’re seeing more missed tackles than I’ve ever seen and who knows if that’s not a part of the indecisiveness that’s subconsciously in a guys mind.”
