Skins tight end Fred Davis joined “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan and talked about what triggered his recent success and how it’s propelled the Redskins to a 2-0 start.
Davis has been given the opportunity to shine since Chris Cooley has been limited in preseason play due to an injured knee. Davis has caught one touchdown in each of the last two games.
The former second-round pick thinks his success can be attributed to his hard work this offseason to become lighter and learning under Cooley.
“He doesn’t even have to say much. Just watch him and the stuff he do. People always look at him and say, ‘Awe he’s funny and probably off the wall.’ But everyone else knows he’s a hard worker. He knows his stuff. He’s smart. He could be a coordinator…He’s good at what he does.”
