Nationals left-hander John Lannan has not defeated the Florida Marlins in over two years. Unfortunately for the Nationals, that streak continued Friday at Nationals Park as the Fish ended the Nats win streak at five with a 3-0 victory.

The Marlins managed six hits off of Lannan in the first three innings. They scored a run in the second on an RBI single by John Buck and a pair of run-scoring hits from Mike Stanton and Gaby Sanchez in the third.

Lannan lasted six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits with three walks with one strikeout. He threw 96 pitches, 64 for strikes.

On the other side, Javier Vazquez provided the Nationals with limited opportunities.

Florida has won 12 of their last 13 games at Nationals Park and lead season series, 9-4.
