Former NFL fullback Heath Evans is a new analyst for the NFL Network and he joined “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan to wrap up the league’s week one’s games and what stuck out to him.
Evans made an interesting point when asked about Skins quarterback Rex Grossman and if he would be the “same old Rex” fans remember from Chicago who was prone to turnovers.
“Skins fans hope that he is about 90 percent of same old Rex. He’s a competitor. He’s smart. He knows how to challenge a defense at times. He is a man’s type man. He has a toughness to him. He got an edge to him. There’s a lot of things about Rex that, heck, I learned about playing against him at Florida when I was at Auburn that you love about this kid.”
Listen to Heath Evans explain why Skins fans should be happy to have Rex Grossman as their quarterback under the Shanahan’s system.
