Washington Redskins wide-receiver Terrence Austin joined the LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes to talk about making the roster and his expectations going into the regular season.
Austin was seen as a long-shot to make the Redskins roster before the preseason, but he impressed coaches with his ability to contribute both as a kick returner and a receiver.
When asked about his thoughts on Rex Grossman being named the Redskins’ starting quarterback, Austin believes that experience was the distinguishing factor.
“Rex is more familiar with the offense, he dealt with it in Houston,” said Austin,”Not taking anything away from the way Beck has been studying or anything like that but he did play last year at the end of the season and I think that’s probably why he has the upper hand right now.”
