-Last night the Washington Redskins put a cap on a decent preseason by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-24. While starters did not play for the most part, the first team offensive line was in for the better part of the first half. In addition, Rex Grossman did not see a single snap during the game. John Beck, however, did play the entire first half before being relieved in the second half.
While most looked at this game to finally solved the quarterback issue here in the nation’s capital, it may have raised more questions than it answered. Beck’s play was lack luster at best, completing 10-21 passes for just over 100 yards including an interception in the endzone.
Washington Post columnist Jason Reid joined Mike Wise and Danny Rouhier to discuss the final preseason game. Jason says that “Mike (Shanahan) could still choose Rex (Grossman).” but at the same time “Beck has a higher ceiling.” So what do we do? Only the Shanahans know.
