Skins tight end Chris Cooley joins “The Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan and told them that he thinks Jarvis Jenkins’ knee injury last night in the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens looked bad.
When asked if he though Jenkins tore something in his knee, Cooley said, “I’d assume it’s probably not the best.”
Jenkins confirmed Cooley’s assessment after tweeting “Redskin fans thanks for the support I love you all…unfortunately it is a ACL tear…”
On a lighter note, Cooley was able to run routes before the game against the Ravens. He ran about 20 routes at half speed and still expects to be ready to go for Week 1 against the Giants.
Cooley was also seen doing push-ups and sit-ups during the game. He talks about a bet he had with fellow tight end Logan Paulsen where Cooley had to complete 1,000 crunches and push-ups by the end of the day.
