Fantasy Football expert Dave Richard from CBSsports.com joined The Sports Junkies on 1067 The Fan and offered his do’s and dont’s as everyone’s draft day approaches.
One of the biggest fantasy questions this season is Titans’ Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson’s contract dispute and if it will affect his status as the NFL regular season is right around the corner.
“I think the best game plan right now is to let him slide a little bit, take somebody safe if you’re picking with an early first round pick but if you’re talking late part of the first round. I’d say somewhere around eighth overall because it tempers the risk a little bit.”
He adds that you still have the ability to take a good player come back in the second round and still avoid fantasy disaster if Chris Johnson misses any games.
In terms of sleepers, Dave Richard loves Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown. He predicts he’ll be this year’s Mike Wallace. He adds Greg Olsen is another player he loves since rookie QB Cam Netwon will lean on him heavily as a safety outlet in the pass attack.
