Skins beat reporter Grant Paulsen joins “The Sports Junkies” to talk about how impressive the Redskins have been in two games thus far and who was really outstanding during the win in Indianapolis.
Paulsen was high on John Beck’s debut as starter. He showed he was able to run the offensive scheme. The only knock is that Beck didn’t take any chances, which Grant doesn’t seem as any kind of flaw.
Beck may have been the center of attention but another player stole the spotlight.
“I thought it was John Beck’s night, in that everyone was talking about him. But it was Roy Helu’s show. Fourteen carries for 100 yards. He had the 51 yard run. Eighteen touches. He was the focal point of this offense and he thrived.”
Paulsen generally sees this team as better and younger in every position, except quarterback, where that is still an unknown with only two preseason games under Beck and Grossman’s belt.
