Just like Friday night, the Nationals used a ninth-inning rally to propel them to victory. On Sunday, Washington trailed 4-3 going into the bottom of the ninth, until Ian Desmond drove a two out, 1-2 pitch to the left-field seats off Antonio Bastardo to tie the game at four.

In the bottom of the tenth, still at 4-4, the hero from Friday night with a walkoff grand slam, Ryan Zimmerman, doubled
and then both Jayson Werth and Michael Morse followed by getting on base off Brad Lidge.  Lidge then struck out Danny Espinosa before beaning Jonny Gomes with the bases loaded sending Zimmerman home and giving the Nationals a 5-4
victory.

Philadelphia has won their previous eight road series, dating back to June 17th in Seattle.
