Washington Redskins Pro-Bowl tight end Chris Cooley joined “The Sports Junkies” before the team’s second preseason game in Indianapolis and gave an update on some key teams injuries, including himself.

Cooley says that he had his knee scoped back in January and was working out recently when the knee ended up more swollen.  He and team ended up getting a second opinion.  Sitting out the remainder of the preseason will give him the adequate rest for the swelling to go down.

He also comments on safety LaRon Landry absence from the preseason.  Cooley says that’s it’s also a precautionary measure keeping him sidelined.

“If you look at him moving around right now and running, I understand he’s not practicing, but he’s healthy”

He adds that Landry is doing everything right to be ready for week one against the Giants.

Here’s Cooley commenting on the status on his knee and how he went to Dr. Andrews for a second opinion.

Cooley saying he won’t be playing at all this preseason.

Cooley commenting that LaRon Landry will be ready week one and his being cautious, just like him.
