Bryce Harper and the Harrisburg Senators (67-53) faced the Trenton Thunder (60-59) in their second game of the series Saturday night.  Harper had a much quieter night after last night’s towering walk off home run.  Harper finished 0-for-3 with a walk on the evening.

The Senators got pounded by the Thunder as starter Oliver Perez got shelled for 7 runs (3 earned) in 4 and 1/3 innings of work.  Perez gave up two home runs, including a grand slam in the first inning.  Harrisburg couldn’t overcome the poor start and fell 7-4 at home to the Thunder.

Harper batted fifth in the lineup and started in Left Field on the evening.  The 0-for-3 night dropped Harper’s average to .244.

The Senators finish their series at home against Trenton tomorrow at 6 pm.  Follow Brendan Darr on twitter: @BrendanDarr1067
