Bryce Harper and the Harrisburg Senators (67-52) faced the Trenton Thunder (59-59) Friday for the first of three games over the weekend. Harper ended the game in the bottom of the 9th with a walk-off 2-run home run. The towering 480-foot home run was Harper’s third while at Harrisburg and 17th overall. He went 1-for-4 on the night with the home run, two RBI’s, but did strikeout once.
The Senators took the lead in the fourth after Leonard Davis tripled and was singled in by Tim Pahuta. Trenton scored a run in the 5th and 7th before Harper ended the game in the bottom of the 9th.
Harper started in Left Field and batted fifth for the Senators. The 1-for-4 night left his average sitting at .250 since joining AA Harrisburg.
