The Nationals right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg will make his first rehab start of the season Sunday in Hagerstown, Md., at Municipal Stadium.

The Suns face Greensboro at 4 p.m. Strasburg is expected to throw two innings. He threw 50 pitches in his final simulated game in Viera, Fla., on Tuesday.

It will be Strasburg’s first professional game action since last season. He underwent Tommy John surgery following a torn ligament in his pitching arm and has been rehabbing for nearly a year.

If everything goes well, Strasburg would move on to Potomac or Harrisburg for his second start August 12.
