When it comes to finding a jack of all trades, few fill this roll better than Washington Post Columnist John Feinstein. John joined the Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner today to talk all things sports.
When asked if he would give Mike Shanahan a mulligan on the debacle that was the 2010 NFL season, John answered “I don’t give him a mulligan but you get more than one year.
When you are playing a round of golf and you triple bogey the first hole you don’t just walk in and quit, there are a lot of holes left to play, and with John Beck at Quarterback I’m sure 16-0 is right around the corner.”
So sure, a little sarcasm was thrown in there but the point is this: don’t write this team off quite yet. At the base of things, Shanahan is a pretty good personnel guy and he is sold on John Beck.
So why not give the guy a chance to prove that he can be the next Kevin Kolb? You’ve heard it before and will hear it again, why not us?
On top of that, John gave us some of his opinions on other happening around the sports world including Tiger Woods and the state of golf without him and his take on the Women’s World Cup and the travesty that is the penalty shoot out. Check out the full interview below.
