Washington Examiner’s John Keim joins Brian Mitchell and Danny Rouhier to discuss the upcoming free agency period post NFL lockout and how the Redskins should approach it.
Keim agrees with Brian Mitchell that the Redskins did a good job with this year’s draft class and that its ok to fill in spots with veterans, but when you depend on them in key roles, it can be dicey.
“It’s more about who they are going to sign versus the list of who’s really out there, because if I’m going to draw up a list, I’m going to have a lot of names on it too and then you’re going to have to prioritize.”
Some of the names being associated with the Skins and free agency include Santonio Holmes, Marshall Yanda and a nose tackle for the 3-4 defense.
Keim thinks that the free agent needs to fit into the Redskins’ scheme and it’s just as important as their skill level or name.
