The Caps had day two of their 2011 Caps Development Camp today and the biggest news was forward Mattias Sjorgren missed the morning skate today after losing a tooth yesterday when he got hit in the face with a stick.

Sjorgren went to the dentist this morning and was a little delayed getting back, but joined the afternoon skate in progress.  He should be good to go the rest of the week.  Bruce Boudreau said “welcome to our world of hockey” commenting on Sjorgren’s injury.  In other news Boudreau said he hasn’t talked to Braden Holtby yet since the Tomas Vokoun signing.  Yesterday Goaltending Coach Dave Prior said he hadn’t talked to Holtby yet.

Capitals Head Coach Bruce Boudreau spoke after the first practice this morning and can see an improvement in the play in the second day.  He talked about how players are more comfortable today than yesterday and talked a lot about the improvement of Stanislav Galiev and also talked about USA hockey quite a bit.  Listen here to what he had to say.

Capitals forward Stanislav Galiev also spoke this morning and talked about his second development camp, on learning North American hockey playing in Indiana and how much experience he gained playing in the Memorial Cup.
