Jason Marquis lasted just 1 1/3 innings for the Nationals, and Washington gave up 8 runs in the first two innings Sunday as Pittsburgh beat Washington 10-2 at Nationals Park. Kevin Correia allowed only six hits and two runs over six innings for his 11th win.

Jasyson Werth was hit by a pitch on the left arm in the sixth inning, prompting him to leave the game. Michael Morse also missed the game due to injury.

Pittsburgh’s win evened the series and moved the Pirates to 43-41. Washington dropped back under .500 with a 42-43 record.
