Capitals Assistant Captain Mike Knuble joined Grant Paulsen & Sky Kerstein on Overtime to talk about Brooks Laich coming back and how it was “A great signing for us”, Semyon Varlamov going to Russia and how “he just needs to play and get healthy”, the addition of Troy Brouwer who he says “seems to be a real hard working guy”, how they were “embarrassed” in the playoffs, the Stanley Cup Finals and the start of free agency on Friday.

Knuble had 24 goals and 16 assists last season and has 20 goals or more in his last eight seasons.  The soon to be 39-year-old Knuble signed a one year two million dollar contract extension last season.  Check out what he had to say here.
