The newest member of the Washington Capitals, Troy Brouwer, joined the LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes to talk about what kind of impact he expects to bring to the Nation’s Capital.
The Capitals traded their first round pick in the 2011 NHL draft to the Chicago Blackhawks for Brouwer. He scored 26 goals, including four during the playoffs, during the Blackhawks Stanley Cup run in 2009-2010.
Despite his relatively young age (26 at the start of next season), Brouwer is expected to step into a leadership role immediately with the Capitals.
“I’ll be able to help out with everything they built in the regular season and hopefully progress that into the playoffs,” said Bouwer to LaVar and Bill, “…things that I’ve gone through will help the team out and help them move on to the ultimate goal which is winning the Stanley Cup.”
