The news came as a shock to the team as they had just completed a hard fought sweep of the Seattle Mariners, capped by a brilliant performance from Jason Marquis and a Laynce Nix pinch-hit sacrifice fly to give the Nationals a 1-0 win, their 11th in their past 12 games. The Nationals are back in action tomorrow in Chicago against the White Sox, but it is currently unknown who will manage the team for the weekend series.
