The Redskins drafted 12 players in the 2011 NFL Draft for the first time since 1985, a new team record during the 7-round format.  Of the Skins 12 players drafted, 6 were offense (3 WR, 2 RB, 1 OL) and 6 were defense (2 OLB, 1 S, 1 CB, 1 DE, 1 NT).  The Redskins took three players from the University of Nebraska, first time since 1975 the Redskins took three players from the same school….just so happened that school was Nebraska as well.  The Redskins also took Evan Royster who played high school football at Westfield High School in Chantilly.  Check out what Mike Shanahan had to say following the 2011 NFL Draft….
