Reporting Frank Hanrahan
The Wizards had every right to win their second road game of the season but they couldn’t seal the deal. Up 113-110 with 7 seconds left, Wizards guard John Wall had a chance to put the game away but he missed a free throw and every Wizards fan had that sinking feeling that the Clippers would tie it up and they did. Eric Gordon of the Clippers pump faked JaVale McGee and hit a three-pointer to tie the game and force another overtime.
Wall had a career night with 32 points, 10 assists and fellow rookie Jordan Crawford added some offense with 25 points and 10 assists while McGee had 22 points and 13 rebounds and 4 great blocks but it wasn’t enough.
Blake Griffin had a ridiculous night with his first career triple double, scoring 33 points grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists and of course several nasty dunks.
The Wizards are now 1-33 on the road and visit Denver Friday night.
