You know it’s bad when chants of SCALABRINE, SCALABRINE! are echoing throughout Verizon Center in the waning moments of a Chicago Bulls 105-77 blowout win over the Wizards. It sounded like a Bulls home game as the league’s best known bench warmer got in for the last few minutes and actually scored a bucket to send the crowd into a frenzy. It was yet another embarrassing loss for Washington.
The Wizards never led and trailed by as many as 28 points with Derek Rose and company putting on a show for the several thousand Chicago fans who turned out. Rose scored 21 points and dished out 9 assists in the waltz.
After playing well in losses against Miami and Dallas, the Wizards reverted to their old style. Little intensity from the start and many possessions were caught ball watching. John Wall had a rough night, scoring 9 points on 3-14 shooting but he did dish out 10 assists.
Wizards have lost 6 straight and host Golden State Wednesday night.
