More from 106.7 the Fan

The Capitals (27-15-9, 63 points) get their second shot at the Montreal Canadiens (27-18-5, 59 points) this season after winning the first one 3-0 in December.  The Caps will celebrate Dino Ciccarelli tonight and wear their winter classic uniforms for “Turn Back the Clock Night.”  The puck will drop at 7:42 tonight with Ciccarelli taking part with the pregame faceoff.  The Eastern Conference fifth place Caps are currently four points behind the Lightning in the Southeast Division and eight points behind the Eastern Conference leading Flyers.

The Caps will be without Alexander Semin tonight, but he is getting closer to returning with a bad groin.  Tom Poti and Eric Fehr will be out for at least the week and probably longer for Fehr and DJ King will most likely be a healthy scratch tonight.  Jay Beagle and Mathieu Perreault were recalled the last two days from Hershey and both will probably be in the line up tonight.  Semyon Varlamov (8-7-3, 2.16 GAA, .927 Save Pct.) will be in goal for the Caps.  Carey Price (24-16-5, 2.36 GAA, .920 Save Pct.) will start in net for the Habs.  Check out here what Bruce Boudreau had to say before the game…
