Semyon Varlamov

The Washington Capitals (24-13-7, 55 points) try to get back on their winning ways, but it won’t be easy hosting the NHL leading Vancouver Canucks (28-9-6, 62 points) from Verizon Center tonight.  The Canucks come off a 1-0 loss to the Rangers last night in New York, before that they had points in 17 straight games.  The Caps are 6-1-3 in their last 10 and will send Semyon Varlamov (8-5-2, 2.14 GAA, .927 Save pct.) to the net to face the Canucks Roberto Luongo (20-8-4, 2.34 GAA, .922 Save pct.) who didn’t play last night against the Rangers.  Caps Matt Bradley skated after practice today and is probably 10 days to 2 weeks away.  The Caps lines tonight could look something like this: 8-19-16, 21-90-22, 25-85-83, 26-39-15, 52-23, 27-74, 4-55.  Click more to listen to what Bruce Boudreau, Nicklas Backstrom, Eric Fehr and Karl Alzner had to say before their big game tonight…
